December 19Th - The Angel gifts will be delivered to All Faiths, don't forget to pick an angel and shop for a needy child.

QSP Fundraiser

Our Fundraiser was a success. Thanks to you we were able to raise a total of $4,200.00, of which 50% goes directly back to our school.

Classroom winners are Caterpillars at $306.50 and Kozy Kittens at $1075.50, WAY TO GO! These classrooms will receive a pizza party for the entire class, in addition both the lead and assistant teacher will also receive a gift certificate at Century Rio 24 Theaters.

A classroom Representative is a volunteer who agrees to be on a distribution list where we will periodically make an "all hands on deck" email/phone call for extra hands during events. We still have some classrooms who need a representative.

Congratulations SpringStone Staff

AND THE WINNER IS:

Congratulations ~ Erica Glaceran (Butterflies), Adriana Cortez (Butterflies), and Stacy Silva (Kozy Kittens) who were chosen to attend the 2008 AMS Montessori Conference in California!

Interested Teachers had to write a letter of interest and the PAB then receive the letters and chose them based on their commitment to SpringStone in furthering their professional development.

We paid a total of $2,211.00 for airfare and hotel; special thanks to Dean and Trish Abbot (owners) for paying for the conference registration fee!

Another great way that we choose to use fundraiser monies to support our school!

What, you want to hear more about your child's teachers opportunities at Spring Stone ~

The 2008 Fall Conference is put on by the American Montessori Society, and will be held November 13-16, in Garden Grove, California.

WHY ENROLL IN AN AMERICAN MONTESSORI TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM?
Appropriately trained teachers are a foundation of an effective Montessori learning environment. With approximately 100 American Montessori Society affiliated teacher training programs that are accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education Commission (MACTE), quality teacher education opportunities are available throughout the world.
Teaching in a Montessori school is a wonderful opportunity to promote authentic evaluation methods as academic skills are developed while investigating the fascinating world around us. Providing an alternative to traditional education, Montessori classrooms are recognized around the world as a dynamic medium, in which the teacher may grow as a contributing member, fostering the potential of young minds, contributing to families and society.

Getting Ready for our NEXT Fund Raiser!

Our next Fund Raiser will begin on October 6-21, so parents get your Reader's Digest, and tell your friends, and family members to support a good cause ~ your child's school.

The PAB will be deciding on the best fit candidate for the American Montessori Society Conference that will be held:
Nov. 13Th thru 10Th, in Las Vegas, Nevada
We are thrilled to send someone that will represent Spring Stone and hope they learn something that will enhance their passion in working with children.

*The PAB is still looking for a Secretary and we would love for that to be you, so please let Terri or Desi know if you are interested!

Open House ~ Big Success

Open house was last night (Thursday, September 11, 2008) and it was a big success! Thank you parents, PAB, and Springstone Staff for the great evening of fun.
